TENS Machine Hire – Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose of Hire

The TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) machine is hired from Nest & Nurture Collective as a non-medical, drug-free comfort tool to assist with pain relief during labour. It is provided for personal use only and must not replace professional medical advice or supervision.

2. Hire Periods & Fees

  • Mini Hire: 4 weeks - $69

  • Standard Hire: 6 weeks - $79

  • Extended Hire: 8 weeks — $89

Hire periods begin from the agreed start date and must be returned within five (5) business days of completion unless an extension is arranged in advance.

3. What’s Included

Each hire includes:

  • 1 x Elle TENS maternity unit (sanitised and tested)

  • 1 x new set of electrode pads (sealed)

  • 1 x pack of batteries

  • 1 x instruction and safety guide

  • 1 x carry case (for you to keep) 

4. Care & Responsibility

  • The hirer is responsible for the safe and proper use of the TENS unit.

  • The machine must not be used by anyone other than the hirer.

  • The machine must be kept clean, dry, and protected from damage.

  • If a fault occurs, the hirer must notify Nest & Nurture Collective immediately and cease use until advised.

5. Loss, Damage, or Late Return

  • The hirer agrees to return the TENS unit in the same clean, working condition.

  • If lost, damaged, or returned in an unusable condition, the hirer agrees to pay the replacement cost of $259.00.

  • Late returns without prior arrangement incur a $10 per day charge.

6. Health & Safety Disclaimer

  • The TENS machine should not be used if the hirer has:

    • A pacemaker or heart rhythm disorder

    • Epilepsy

    • Any undiagnosed pain or medical condition for which electrical stimulation is contraindicated

  • Always read and follow the included usage guide before applying the TENS machine.

  • Stop using the device immediately if discomfort, skin irritation, or unusual sensations occur.

  • Nest & Nurture Collective provides the unit in good working order but accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or complications arising from misuse or medical conditions.

7. Liability

By hiring this device, the hirer accepts full responsibility for its use and care.
Nest & Nurture Collective is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use or misuse of the TENS machine or accessories.

8. Returns

  • The TENS unit and all accessories must be returned to Nest & Nurture Collective by the agreed date.

9. Agreement to Terms

By completing checkout or signing the TENS hire form, you acknowledge that you:

  • Have read and understood these terms and conditions.

  • Accept full responsibility for the care and safe use of the TENS machine.

  • Agree to return the machine by the agreed date in satisfactory condition.

  • Release Nest & Nurture Collective from any liability arising from its use.

Birth Education and Consultation – Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose of Services

Nest & Nurture Collective provides birth education, birth consultation, and planning sessions to support women and families through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.
All sessions are designed to provide education, practical skills, and emotional support. They do not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or care provided by a registered healthcare provider.

2. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be made in advance through the Nest & Nurture Collective website or by direct communication.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

  • Package or bundle bookings must be paid in full prior to the first session unless otherwise arranged.

  • All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST (if applicable).

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session may be rescheduled or refunded in full.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment are non-refundable but may be rescheduled at Nest & Nurture Collective's discretion.

  • If you do not attend your session without prior notice, the full session fee will be forfeited.

  • If Nest & Nurture Collective needs to reschedule or cancel a session, you will be contacted promptly and offered a new date or full refund.

4. Online and In-Person Sessions

  • In-person sessions are conducted within Dalby and the surrounding Western Downs region unless otherwise arranged.

  • Online sessions are provided via secure video link (Zoom or equivalent).

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring a quiet, private environment for online sessions.

  • Session materials provided digitally are for personal use only and must not be shared or distributed.

5. Scope of Practice

  • Sessions are provided by an Endorsed Midwife registered with AHPRA.

  • The education and consultation services offered are based on professional midwifery practice, cultural safety, and evidence-based information.

  • Information provided is intended to support, not replace, medical care or advice from your chosen healthcare provider.

6. Liability

  • Nest & Nurture Collective accepts no liability for outcomes arising from how information provided in sessions is interpreted or applied.

  • Clients are responsible for making informed decisions regarding their pregnancy, birth, and healthcare.

  • Participation in any practical activity (e.g., breathing or movement exercises) is voluntary, and clients should only engage within their own comfort and ability.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • All personal information shared during consultations and classes is treated as confidential in accordance with privacy legislation.

  • Client information will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent unless required by law.

8. Refunds and Returns

  • Refunds are not provided for completed sessions or digital materials once delivered.

  • Refunds or rescheduling may be offered in exceptional circumstances (such as early birth or medical reasons) at the discretion of Nest & Nurture Collective.

9. Agreement to Terms

By booking a class or consultation, you acknowledge that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.

  • Agree to participate in sessions with responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.

  • Accept that the information provided is educational and supportive in nature.

  • Release Nest & Nurture Collective from liability for any injury, loss, or misunderstanding arising from participation.
